In Memory of...





This is Red Meadow Lake. In the top picture, the flat part in the bottom-left is the surface of the lake (covered in ice and snow). You can see tracks running up the mountain where snowcat drivers have tried to go as high as they can in the powder. It's a lot steeper than it looks in the picture. Two years ago 5 snowmobilers died when they set off an avalanche trying for height on the slope. I can't believe people still drive up it.

The other pictures are 1) Steven driving around on the ice. He was actually moving along pretty fast, even though it doesn't look like it! 2) Bryan and Steven looking out over Red Meadow Lake. There's another snowmobile out on the ice to the left. There were 3 guys racing around, no one we knew.
